ASSESSMENT & MANAGEMENT

A considered approach
to persistent pain.

Particular areas of interest include neck and back pain, musculoskeletal pain and pain involving peripheral nerves.

01

Understand the pain

A consultation considers your symptoms, medical history, previous treatments and how pain affects your movement, sleep and everyday activities.

02

Explore the options

Discuss a treatment plan suited to your assessment and priorities. This may involve reviewing current management and coordinating care with your GP and other treating clinicians.

03

Consider targeted care

Where clinically appropriate, diagnostic blocks or radiofrequency procedures may be considered. Suitability, expected benefits, alternatives and risks are discussed individually.

A consultation does not necessarily lead to a procedure. Treatment recommendations depend on the individual assessment, and outcomes vary.

Dr Quo will discuss your pain, its impact on your life and your medical history. The assessment may include an examination and review of investigations, followed by a discussion of appropriate management options.
